The Department of Natural Resources Research was established in 1991 in the FANREC. The main tasks of this department are to identify and provide scientific methods for optimal productivity of the potential and actual potential of natural resources of Fars province, to prepare and implement national and provincial research projects, and to investigate the technical problems announced by the executive departments. Currently, this department has research trends in the field of forestry, pasture, botany, medicinal plants, protection of natural resources, genetics, and physiology.
